SIGA Scholarships for Saskatchewan First Nations Post-Secondary Students

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority is pleased to offer forty (40) scholarship awards valued at $1,000 each. These awards will honour students who display commitment to their academic studies, exhibit community commitment through volunteerism or advocacy, have demonstrated commitment to First Nations culture and language, and/or demonstrate financial need.

As a First Nation organization employing Indigenous Peoples, SIGA has adopted five principles to encourage balance, while incorporating the traditional aspects of First Nation culture: Tâpwêwin, Pimâcihowin, Miyo-wîcêhtowin, Miskâsowin, Wîtaskêwin. We are looking for students who exhibit one or more of these values in their academic, professional and personal lives.

SIGA will collaborate to advance education, training, and employment opportunities within the Indigenous population in Saskatchewan. The relationship between the parties will accentuate our commitment to Indigenous communities.

SIGA is Building Back with this scholarship program and, we welcome submissions from all eligible individuals. We know we will see many applicants that embody the spirit of our organization in their lives.
