From September 1, 2025, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) will match all donations to the By Your Side Kidney Campaign up to $100,000 until September 30, 2025.

The St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation is committed to raising $10 million to realize patient-centered and holistic health initiatives that will save lives and reduce the economic and social impacts of early onset kidney failure.

The By Your Side Kidney Campaign has three main priorities, including implementing early detection and screening programs, the Kidney Health and Education Centre project, and the creation of an Indigenous Healing Centre to provide holistic care.

“The Campaign was a natural fit for SIGA’s commitment to community, as it addresses a critical health challenge in Saskatchewan. Chronic kidney disease now affects 1 in 10 people in the province, with 1 in 3 Indigenous people impacted by the diagnosis. As a major First Nations employer in the province, we have seen chronic kidney disease impact our staff members and their families,” said Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Relations Desiree Gervais. “Giving back is what we do as a First Nation non-profit, and this cause was important for SIGA to support, in alignment with our guiding principle of Wîtaskêwin, which refers to sharing the land or, in today’s terms, sharing our resources.”

SIGA contributes annually $1.89 million through its Community Investment Program to hundreds of charitable organizations and causes across the province.
